And now they have the impression that people are discussing anything and everything,
questioning everything, that everything is collapsing, that their own perhaps hard - earned and dearly - bought rigid adherence to the doctrine, and above all the
traditional practice, of the
Church even to the slightest concrete detail of the style of religious and secular life, is disavowed and almost despised by the
Church and its leading representatives.
Several months ago, at my small group, I asked the
question, «why did the pastor decide to forgo the house
church model and create a
traditional church?»
One that was based on a survey of mainline
church members, for example, suggested that identification with the local community served as an important plausibility structure for
traditional religious tenets.13 Furthermore, those who made such localistic identifications were considerably more likely than «cosmopolitans» to espouse

Church — have a held just one single «
