The texture reminds me more of
quinoa than rice, which I actually prefer, and it's surprisingly hearty for a vegetable.

quinoa,
rice etc
than you used to as it's not longer the side dish — I normally have seconds at every meal!

I find that it's not more expensive, the things I eat on a day to day basis — seasonal veggies, bananas, brown

For gluten - free dairy free ranch pasta salad, I use non-GMO corn - based pasta (conchiliette shown here), which I find holds its shape much better
than rice - based and
quinoa varieties for pasta salad.

quinoa or brown
rice and serve with any vegetable you want!
When I encounter a recipe that calls for
rice or couscous, I usually use
quinoa because I prefer the taste, and it cooks a bit quicker
