Though God of War comes within striking distance, no game series draws me in
quite like Halo, which is and forever will be only playable on Xbox.

I heard one idea that I
quite like, we should give a different colour of
Halo to the leader of the world championship.
In particular, I
like the
Halo Strobing Palette, it's got such gorgeous colours and it's
quite easy to apply.
Xbox has been a little quieter with various titles delayed until early 2018 (Crackdown 3, State of Decay 2, Sea of Thieves) and other exclusives not
quite achieving the level we would
like (
Halo Wars 2).

Infected also returns, and
like the
Halo mode it's based upon is actually
quite good fun, tasking one team to defend against the «infected», while the unlucky player needs to simply kill one of the enemy in order to infect them as well.
Well, we wouldn't call it a revolution in the genre of the FPS, since it
quite obviously is inspired by games
like Halo and Half - Life, but from what we played and saw, we would lean strongly towards it being a new standard for how an FPS should be done on the Wii.
It feels
like the book either needed to be longer so that the author had some space to work with in order to better spread the exposition, or it needed to be written for
Halo fans only, meaning removing all exposition regarding aspects of the
Halo universe that fans would already be
quite aware of, such as who the Spartans are or what the monitors are.
Luckily, it works and it worked
quite well for games
like Halo 5: Guardians and Resident Evil VII «s DLC Not a Hero.
Quite a shame
Halo 3 came out
like a month or so after Shadowrun's release.
Killzone is a slightly odd franchise: Guerrilla's first - person shooter has never
quite hit the heights necessary to inspire the devotion afforded to the
likes of
Halo, but it has always been a solid performer.
Sony's console still offers far more titles, including plenty of PS2 - only titles (
like Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas), but the Xbox delivers better graphics and has
quite a few exclusive games of its own these days, such as
Halo 2.
While Xbox Live started on the original Xbox and became
quite popular with games
like Halo 2, the service really hit its stride on Xbox 360 with voice chat, matchmaking, and eventually branching out into other content areas including television services and movie rentals.
Looks
like Microsoft is really looking to move forward on their exclusive FPS series,
Halo, but in what way, no one's
quite certain.
And it was a great success on the 360, but it doesn't
quite have a story arc of a thing
like Halo or something, at least the way it's played out in the games.»
