On sustainability, Mr Laming said those
wanting to leave the CFP sought to avoid the policies
quota system, increasing catches to replace jobs and wages lost through technology, but at further cost to the fragile underwater environment.
Parents would not
want to go back to a
system built on unequal access to schools, but they don't
want to be denied options in the interest of maintaining
quotas or forcing all children in a neighborhood to attend the same school whether it meets their needs or not.
