Having driven several cars around tracks in real life, and used
racing sims such as Gran Turismo and Assetto Corsa for the last 20 or so years, I found Project Cars 2 quite challenging.
By constructing cars on an entirely digital basis, much like
a racing sim such as Forza would, its cloud - based software is some way ahead of cumbersome traditional configurators, which rely on hundreds of real photos and are limited when it comes to aspect and, crucially, customisation.

It's a pretty good time for
racing gamers and
sim racers at the moment, particularly when it comes to new opportunities and competitions —

Are the
sim and arcade experiences divided by the difficulty of certain content within the game, as in some content is for
sim players and some areas cater more to arcade
such as specifying your own
race conditions in custom generated content or does the game actually include selectable levels of difficulty for the entirety of the
racing content across the board with
such typical stuff as driving assists, etc.?
Racing gamers label
such games as «
Sim - cades», a portmanteau of «simulator» and «arcade» - not so technically mind - boggling as truly accurate driving
sims like iRacing or Assetto Corsa but not a walk in the park to play either like the Need For Speed series of games or Ridge Racer.
