rail shooter Dead Space Extraction, for the Wii.

Like any Japanese
rail shooter, House Of The
Dead III has a story which is as nonsensical and «wtf» as those weird Japanese adverts you sometimes come across on YouTube.
We've seen with Until Dawn: Rush of Blood that horror on -
rail shooters work perfectly on the platform, and whilst House of the
Dead doesn't necessarily take the «on -
rail» side so literally, being zipped across a multitude of creepy environments whilst blasting away at all sorts of monstrosities with the Move controllers (or Aim for any potential two - handed weapon mode) would be a hell of a lot of fun.
A VR
Rail Shooter in the House of the
Dead universe might be a fantastic way to reinvigorate this IP.
So is EA's morphing of
Dead Space Extraction into an on -
rails shooter really the best way the IP could have been adapted to the Wii?
Second, while
Dead Space sold well on the 360, I don't know of any
rail shooters that sold well on the 360.

I can't even begin to fathom how many quarters I put into games like House of the
Dead, Jurassic Park, and the other on -
rails shooters in my local arcade once upon a time — but it's got to be a huge number.
It's a two - player on -
rails light - game
shooter, much like House of the
Dead or Virtua Cop.
The game is an on -
rails light gun
shooter, much like The House of the
Dead.
I'm sure you'll get a few minutes of fun out of playing
rail shooters like Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles or
Dead Space: Extraction before the novelty of laying on your stomach while firing wears off, but it could also be interesting to see someone playing a game like My Horse and Me with this.
I found Darkside Chronicles solid, though it's somewhat in a strange position between old school arcade style
rail shooters and the innovative action adventure approach of
Dead Space Extraction.
Dead Space Extraction is a nice throwback to old on -
rails shooters, and it tells a more interesting story than its progenitor.
