Competition for light is intense in
rainforest areas resulting in tall, straight stemmed trees that have few branches until they
reach the upper
canopy where their branches spread and help to form the dense
canopy that shades the lower levels.
This allows you to easily explore all levels of the
rainforest up close, from the forest floor to the uppermost
reaches of the
canopy.
Next stop is The Curtain Fig Tree, an amazing feat of nature
reaching 45 + metres up into the tropical
rainforest canopy.
The Amazon Villa is within
reach of beautiful and wildlife - filled Amazonian lakes, a
canopy tower, one of the largest macaw clay licks in the
rainforest, and many
rainforest trails through the forest to scout for animals and plants.
