Regardless of some pagan uses in the past, Easter today is the day to remember and be thankful for a God who sent is only begotten son, who was
without transgression, to die for our
sins and then be
raised from the dead that all who believe in Him may have eternal life.
As St Paul reminds us: «If Christ has not been
raised, then our preaching is
without substance, and so is your faith... if Christ has not been
raised, your faith is pointless and you have not, after all, been released from your
sins» (1 Cor 15: 14 - 17).
