On Sentra SE - R Spec V camshafts are more aggressive and let
raising redline to 7,000 RPM.
The car featured on Bring a Trailer is the first of those vaunted Evo models, the aptly named 190E 2.5 - 16 Evolution I. Each Evo I packed a revised powerplant, featuring a similar horsepower output, but a shorter stroke and bigger bore that
raised the redline.
Just FYI: HR and Rev - up are different, VQ35 DE with the «rev - up» package added variable timing on the exhaust cam (regular VQ only has VVT on intake), and
raised the redline to 7500.
Those changes allowed the Mustang's engineers to
raise the redline by 500 revs to 7,500 rpm.

The net result of all these changes is an engine
redline that has been
raised by 500 rpm to 7500 rpm and an increase in power output from 412 hp to 440 hp at 7500 rpm - at a cost of 10 lb - ft of peak torque, with the Boss 302's V - 8 rated at 380 lb - ft at 4500 rpm.
Also camshafts were somewhat updated,
redline was
raised and some more insignificant novelties happened yet.
To achieve this power bump, the engine's variable valve timing and intake system have been tweaked and the
redline raised from 8350 RPM to 8500 RPM.
The LC500h starts with Toyota's familiar corporate 3.5 - liter V6, tuned here to 295 hp and 257 lb - ft,
redline raised from 6000 to 6600 rpm.
Toyota says Valvematic improves fuel efficiency 5.3 percent in bench testing, but also
raises the 1.8's
redline 1000 rpm and increases peak horsepower to 140 (peak torque drops to 126 lb - ft).
The
redline has been
raised by 500 RPM to an awesome 7,500 — just 750 shy of the Shelby GT350's stratospheric cut - off — so that each time you bury the tach, you're rewarded with a glorious, bellowing, full - bodied roar.
