My daughter, who is 17 months, LOVED it as well, as she loves her fruits and veggies and absolutely loved
the raisins in this too.

If you like a little something sweet
in the morning try adding a couple of medjool dates to the mix
too, they sweeten it up and enhance the creaminess and if you feel like you need a crunch, add a little less milk and then pour the smoothie into a bowl and top it with your favourite granola, nuts, seeds,
raisins, cacao nibs, fruit etc for a delicious smoothie bowl.
I don't know why, I feel like adding some
raisins or dry cranberries
in there
too...
I actually used dried cherries when I realized I didn't have any
raisins, and think that dark chocolate would be pretty darn good
in these next time,
too.
The original recipe had 1 cup of sugar
in it and I only used 1/2 cup, I think you can even make this recipe without sugar; it was sweet enough with the
raisins too.

in sugar than most all other dried fruits such as dates and
raisins (though I like those

Last week, I attempted to make a modified version of a recipe I found on www.realfoodonthetable.com, but I missed my bread machine's «beep» to add the
raisins and then it baked a little
too long
in the machine.
I love that you used
raisins too (sometimes I feel like
raisins don't get their time

raisins thrown
in too, but my kids would never go for that!
At this point, you can also fold
in up to 1 cup chopped chocolate, nuts or seeds,
raisins, or dried cranberries (a mixture of everything works,

I didn't want anything
too rich or chocolately but more along the oatmeal
raisin type of cookie... I don't eat oats anymore so that chewy texture is sometimes a challenge to achieve

I imagine you can substitute another type of dried fruit for the dates: the recipe
in Irish Pantry features currants, but
raisins or dried berries would work,
too... you take your pick.
I love it to pieces and typically eat my oatmeal this way each day with a bit of organic

in pantry (okay hands up, my small and completely crammed cupboards...), I always
too have seeds, almonds, and

The most important thing is that the nuts are salty so they cover the

Overall, it is probably better to avoid
raisins — they are
