It's all part of WRC 5's attempt to make
rally games appeal to a wider audience, and on that front it's a resounding success.

Even though DiRT 3 does not have major improvements over the previous
games, the fact that it incorporates «
Rally modes» - that Europeans will surely love - gives it a more «global»
appeal.
WRC 6 is a
game that has
appeal for a number of contrasting players, and that's something it boasts that DiRT
Rally lacks.
It shouldn't tarnish what the
game does well though, as the
rally tracks especially, have a very good amount of variation and unique
appeal - Kenya stands out here.
With all of these features, the
game definitely does have wider and more immediate
appeal than the previous DiRT
Rally did.
This statement goes for racing
games in general as well of course, although there's something about dealing with the narrow paths and varied terrain of
rallying that I find to be extra
appealing in VR.
