Had the audience no gotten just the
random glimpse of Dafoe's eyes and mouth and a fuller view of his expressive face, the
costumed character probably would've been more menacing, for the fixed mouth - agape expression on his metal mask certainly isn't.
It would have been nice to have included more downloadable
characters, stages and
costumes, and they'll never get rid of those stupid friend codes, but it's fun to play with
random strangers and beat the fool out of each other.
I also loved the
character costumes, background guitar music rifts and the
random in and out slow motion gameplay.
In the level, you can have it turn Mario into a
random character, or you can choose specifically which
costume it will be.
This brought in some
random Capcom
characters and
costumes for a super arcade focused battle type mode with up to four players competing.
