He's given task after task from his Captain as well as the Great Master Technomancer, and he can do
random side missions along the way.
While swinging from building to building was initially thrilling, that it was incessantly punctuated by ringing phones and

I miss coming across

side missions, it'd be nice to have more of those with elaborate plots that might lead you across the galaxy.

random event like stopping a mugger or recovering someones stolen vehicle.

random intervals and completion of these (most of which consist of guard the NPC or kill the enemies in the vicinity) will fill your special attack gauge which upon activation not only unleashes a devastating attack but also partly refills your gas and blade meters.

Straying from the main plot you've got a multitude of
side missions with «Strangers and Freaks» quests or just
random events that happen in world that you can choose to interact with.
You may find the
side missions some what boring, but selling cocaine and cussing out
random people has never been more fun.

missions can often trigger at
random while you wander the streets though, which is frustrating when you're in a rush.
There are fun little
side missions that can be replayed in the Grand Prix mode, or the «Driver Rivalry» stuff, although these are ultimately pointless, and are simply there to add a false competition between a
random racer.
Aside from the main quest
side missions and
random encounters of sorts keep things relatively interesting often taking the form of small shoot outs or hostage rescue.
- In order to make the world more immersive they've done away with traditional
side missions in favor of
random events.
Now, if you simply fly through the main story then no doubt you'll hit a wall in terms of a
missions level entry, but by completing the plethora of
random events and
side mission along the way you'll find your progression pretty seamless.
One major change comes through the replacement of
side missions with
random events; while you are out and about, you might find a shopkeeping getting robbed and find yourself putting a stop to the crime, for example.
While they are often fun,
side missions in the Assassins Creed games are extremely
random and often feel out of place particularly when put in comparison with the general narrative as a whole.

random strangers automatically instead of just friends, and playing the first of those showed us another

Even after 40 hours of gaming, with main and
