FF12 is a guilty party here, doing away with
the random turn based battles in favor of a real time combat, with no difference between fighting and exploration which makes for some annoying moments when monsters just decided to start spawning onto you, or aggro - ing from across half the entire zone; this can lead to some horrific «oh crap!»
