saw some story stuff hinting at the relationship between Kratos and son, and also some combat
gameplay — although it was all in a montage

see, despite its name it's not really a sequel to the much - loved Cossacks series,
rather it's pretty much a complete remake of the original game, retaining most of its balance and mechanics while upgrading the graphics and smoothing out the

As unprofessional as this trailer seems, I actually really appreciate the authenticity of
seeing someone playing the game

Mid-battle cutscenes also flow better than before, such as cameras focusing on areas of interest mid-battle, and meetings with certain generals happening in a more realistic way; while in the old games you would sometimes
see your character interacting with a general on the other side of the map during a cutscene, this doesn't tend to happen now, some scenes flowing back into
gameplay with your character standing in front of the officer they were speaking to,
rather than suddenly finding yourself back on the other side of the map as though nothing had happened.
I will admit, I'm not blown away by the
gameplay we've
seen so far — it looks
rather Grand Theft Auto - like, which really bums me out — but I have no doubt that 2K Czech will wow us all again as they strive to bring a late 1960's New Orleans to life while delivering an excellent story.

With handheld consoles becoming more able to replicate the 3D visuals and
gameplay associated with home consoles, we are
seeing more and more series incorporate handheld titles into their main series canon,
rather than providing spin - off distractions that could often be ignored without missing any big developments in the series.
