Our test
car's
standard steering setup was far more natural
than the optional variable -
ratio steering we've previously driven, but it still pales in comparison to the directness of the Porsche, BMW, and Mercedes systems.
The ST200's shorter gear
ratios give it punchier acceleration
than the
standard car, dropping the 0 - 62mph time to 6.7 seconds, down from 6.9.
Out on a cone course at Kia's Mojave proving grounds, the GT's
standard variable -
ratio electric power steering proved its worth, requiring a lot less sawing back and forth at the wheel
than cars like BMW's 6 Series Gran Coupe, and even less
than Audi's A7 Sportback.
While the overall travel remains the same with 100 mm up front and 85 mm at the rear, the 9 mm higher aspect
ratio of the tyres adds a further layer of compliance, providing the
car with even more soothing qualities
than that of the
standard E-Class.
The other concerns are also as he mentioned, getting a home mortgage depends on much more
than just a great credit score, you also need good
ratios on your front end (ALL housing expenses incl taxes, ins, etc) and back end
ratios (ALL debt expenses, housing, credit cards,
car, etc) so a good income is required, as well as a down payment of some sort (some programs go as low as 3.5 %, others still want 20 %) Assets can also figure in to this as well, but that's getting away from the bit I know about current lending
standards and I don't want to start going off the wrong path here!
