This
dish reminds me of an Eastern European version my Slovakian friend makes: shredded
raw cabbage and almond slivers with just a dash of salt, oil, and vinegar.
Sean Brock shows his influence in a
dish of chicken - fried oysters with
raw oyster tzatziki; David Chang weighs in with the grilled pork blade steak with miso,
cabbage and homemade sauerkraut, and Marco Canora with ricotta - stuffed gnocchi with crispy sunchokes, mushroom butter and mint.
To make one of my favorite quick - and - easy
dishes, chop one - inch pieces of pear tomatoes and hearts of palm, and toss with shredded carrots,
raw corn kernels, sugar snap peas, and shredded red
cabbage.
