And as written below, the recipe features a melted chocolate bar for the coating; if you want a fully
raw dessert, choose a raw cacao butter and cacao powder for the coating.
As you can see,
this raw dessert is full of nutritional value which goes a long way in balancing out the unrefined and whole food sugars that it also contains.
For a truly
raw dessert, agave nectar could be substitutes for the maple syrup which I adjusted for in parentheses.
I had purchased

A nut free
raw dessert has been on my creation list for a while as I know not everyone can tolerate nuts.

Unlike an ice cream, there is no dairy, and unlike a traditional
raw dessert, there are no nuts (kinda tricky for some people to digest).
Choose
raw dessert with raw cacao powder instead store - bought chocolate.
Although for those wanting the truly
raw dessert you could either leave it out or use raw coffee beans?
Of course once you bake the inside in the crust it's no longer raw, but I have used the crust recipe separately (to make snack balls, bars, or as a crust for
a raw dessert) so that's why it's described that way.
