Choose from fermented vegetables (
raw kraut), coconut water kefir (my fave), or cow or goat kefir if you can tolerate dairy.
My favorite ferments include cultured vegetables like
raw kraut (I like Farmhouse Cultures because I'm too lazy to make my own); coconut water kefir; miso paste; pickles; kimchi; and beet kvass.
She is an expert on making
raw kraut.
I usually go for coconut water kefir or a little
raw kraut every day; you can make both yourself (or click the coconut water kefir link above for my preferred brand).
Take a probiotic (my favorite is Renew Life) and eat / drink probiotic foods / beverages like
raw kraut, kvass, and kevita.
If you've never tried, say, lentils or
raw kraut, make a goal to add the food in once weekly until you feel comfortable with it.

raw kraut, kvass (fermented drink), or kefir.
I also recommend using
raw kraut or cultured vegetables that are a natural source of enzymes needed for digestion and probiotics to boost good bacteria in the gut.
Include
raw kraut and coconut water kefir.
Raw kraut often includes cabbage fermented with beets, carrots and / or ginger.
Also include
raw kraut and beet kvass for probiotics, especially if you don't tolerate dairy well.
Eat probiotic foods like
raw kraut with meals.
Get enough fiber (example: a fiber - packed morning smoothie, a lentil salad with arugula at lunch (YUM), an apple with almond butter, and meat and roasted veggies with avocado and
raw kraut will usually do the trick).
I didn't know the probiotic qualities of
raw kraut.
