You can bring a baggie of carrot sticks to work to munch on when you get hungry, or bring some hummus to dip your favorite
raw veggies in.
For some reason, I like to dip
my raw veggies in something.
All
the raw veggies in this salad are loaded with phytonutrients and plant enzymes, which help you to absorb nutrients and break down your food.
For snacks, keep dried fruits in your workout bag and
raw veggies in the fridge.
Also, I found I can't tolerate a lot of
raw veggies in my diet - there is a type of fiber that most people don't tolerate well that breaks down when heated.

It's been so beautifully sunny and warm
in England recently, which meant that it was time to really get into summer cooking — beautiful salads, cold wild rice and quinoa dishes, grilled summer
veggies with delicious dips, mountains of guacamole with crudités, so many fruit smoothies,
raw desserts and bowls of fresh berries.
Just made this for dinner — I'm eating semi
raw at the moment so cooked the sweet potato (and added some parsnip too), then marinated the mushrooms
in olive oil and balsamic vinegar, wilted the spinach with salt and a bit of chilli before adding to the cooked
veggies.
I made a goal this month to eat more
veggies, especially
raw ones, so I've been taking a baggie of sliced carrots, celery, and baby cucumbers to dip
in hummus (Oasis roasted garlic with hot sauce) as a snack.

When it comes to soup, I like lots of texture, particularly that lovely contrast between a warm, nourishing broth, and lots of fresh,
raw veggies piled on top, that so often pops up
in Asian - inspired recipes.
Even I am not a fan of a handful of
raw veggies, so
in order for them to become somewhat appealing to the eyes of the toddler you've got to fancy it up!
I understand it's different, but start your kids young on loving
raw veggies (with fun dips), and pretty soon they won't mind munching a carrot
in the stroller.
Serve alongside pita chips or
raw veggies at your next gathering, or
in pita bread with hummus and
veggies for a light and healthy meal.
In this ingenious slow - cooker recipe, all you have to do is chop your
veggies, then layer the ingredients (
raw) into the crockpot.
A basic
raw vegan stir fry made
in 5 minutes with whole ingredients like kelp noodles and shredded
veggies.
My favorite is to do un-sushi for when I'm feeling lazy or sluggish and / or don't want the rice: I finely chop a bunch of
raw veggies, add some ginger, lemon, soy sauce, or other spices, mash an avocado into it, add some salt, slap the whole thing
in some nori, roll it up, and call it good.

raw fish, etc., etc., but it would take at least two times longer than if I just put all those ingredients
in a bowl.

veggies in an Asian - inspired vinaigrette and I'm working on a fermented spiralized beet recipe that I hope to publish soon (fermenting takes time!).
Fresh crunchy
raw veggies tossed
in a simple soy, rice vinegar and miso dressing with a bit of mint mixed
in for a refreshing note.
It can mean eating a diet that is mostly plants (seeds,
veggies, fruits & grains) with other products thrown
in, to eating a strict
raw vegan diet with absolutely no animal products.

Seriously, I can't get enough of these two
veggies and I'm putting them
in everything I eat...

The
raw veggies go
in early, the cooked ones at the last minute to warm up.
I had everything for the broth and garnish, but didn't have all of the other
veggies on hand (just broccoli), so I added
in sauteed shiitake mushrooms,
raw enoki mushrooms, and caramelized shallots.
For example, generally I have
in my diet daily: fermented cod liver oil with butter oil (a blend),
raw whole food vitamin B complex,
raw whole food vitamin C, True Calm (GABA amino acid blend), local and pastured eggs,
raw and whole milk yogurt, grass - fed butter, fresh produce, lacto - fermented
veggies (pickles, carrots, sauerkraut),
raw cheese, water kefir, beet kvass, elderberry syrup, and some kind of pastured or grass - fed meat.
Overall, I'm currently still trying not to eat too many cruciferous vegetables or large salads to help Harper out with her digestion, but I did manage to sneak
in one large salad this week and lots of
raw and sauteed non-cruciferous
veggies.
Buddha bowls recipes are similar to macrobiotic aka macro bowls
in that they incorporate the eating principles of Chinese and Japanese medicine and include
raw or roasted
veggies, beans, a whole grain, like brown rice, farro or quinoa, and sometimes fish, with every meal.
I like the idea of adding
in thinly sliced
raw radishes to the lightly cooked spring
veggies.
I also am just a fan of carrots
in general — they are one of the few
veggies that I enjoy
raw and really really love cooked.
I made a Thai inspired coconut milk sauce for them and added lots of
raw veggies, avocado (duh) and served it all
in a cabbage leaf.
Maybe the reason why is because where I grew up
in Brazil, it is not very common to eat
raw veggies like here
in North American.
When I get the munchies
in the middle of the afternoon, this hummus, along with some whole wheat crackers or
raw veggies, takes off the edge.
Serve with flax crackers,
veggies, or use on
raw bread or pizzas, roll
in nori sushi, collard wraps, and much more.
In this salad, I threw some delicate fresh spring
veggies — peas, and asparagus both slightly blanched to retain their crispiness and fresh taste,
raw zucchini which adds extra crunch, as well as some avocado for creaminess.
