Communicating your
school's nutrition program effectively means
reaching out to a
number of key groups; not just students and their parents, but teachers, administrators, custodians, and the community at -
large.
A report by the Australian Council for Educational Research shows a promising outlook for employment growth over the coming years, with a spike in demand for secondary teachers expected from 2018 due to a
large number of high -
school teachers
reaching retirement and a growing population
of school students [1].
This has been accessed by a
large number of pupils to explore feelings around parent separation, domestic violence, bullying, friendships, siblings and jealousy.The workbook has raised the profile
of emotional wellbeing and mental health,
reaching everyone in the
school from the youngest pupils to the senior leadership team.
This approach seems slow and not able to
reach most
of the families in a
school community, yet there are benefits that generate
larger numbers.
While some suggest that these demographics indicate charter
schools are contributing to the resegregation
of public education, charter
school advocates counter that charter enrollment resembles the demographic breakdown
of traditional public
schools in their surrounding districts and neighborhoods, and note that communities often intentionally establish charter
schools to
reach large numbers of underserved students (NAPCS, 2012).
In this report, prepared by Julie Kowal and Dana Brinson for the Center for American Progress, we profile two organizations — the Rocketship Education network
of charter
schools and the Fairfax County, VA
school district — that have redesigned the job
of teacher to provide new types
of leadership opportunities and let great teachers
reach larger numbers of students.
The
number of free
schools inspected isn't
large enough to
reach a reliable conclusion about the effectiveness
of free
schools as a group.

Two options were explored for
reaching parents with the program: Chapter I pilot
schools (

number of free or reduced - price lunches and also have a
large number of children under - achieving on group tests), and adult education programs.
