But it's not significantly smaller than the Offgrid Express, and we found it hard to
reach the volume buttons and power key when the iPhone was in it.
It even has an easier to
reach volume buttons, which is pretty important to big phones in my opinion.
Not exact matches
The interior designers have gone for a cleaner and simpler look with the dash, which means fewer
buttons and knobs, but thankfully they left a large and easy - to -
reach knob for the audio
volume.
It's easily
reached, but if you don't want to touch it you can use Cadillac's first physical control set for a head unit that includes a large multipurpose knob surrounded by home run
buttons and a real
volume knob, not a capacitive touch strip to be found.
I'd also like to see the steering - wheel - mounted controls for the sound system — the
volume and channel / track up / down
buttons — repositioned, as the channel / track
buttons especially are awkward to
reach from my natural 9 and 3 hand position.
One could argue that an extra bank of
buttons clutters up the center console, but while driving it's nice to
reach down and adjust radio stations,
volume, etc. using a dial rather than messing around with a touchscreen.

reached by pressing on power,
volume down and home
buttons at the same time.
The recovery mode can be
reached by pressing and holding the
Volume Up, Home, and the Power
buttons until recovery boots.

volume rocker are found on the left side within easy
reach.
The low power
button also made it awkward to
reach for the
volume key.
It's more of a stretch than on the G2, but thanks to the power and
volume button placement, you can press them while also
reaching the navigation
buttons (Home, Back, Menu) with your thumb.
Having the power and
volume buttons separated like this feels more comfortable for me, but if you're someone with smaller hands (again, don't buy any of these phones), then you might have trouble
reaching that far.
The power
button and

reach of your thumb, and they're perfect.
Edifier also supplies a remote with on / off and

buttons, so you don't need to get off your sofa to
reach the stylishly integrated touch controls found on the left side of the primary speaker.

button isn't placed on the top of the handset, as it would be a bit more of an uncomfortable stretch to

volume rocker on the left as well.
The trademark rounded power
button is found two - thirds of the way up the right edge, within easy thumb
reach, and beneath it sits the
volume rocker and two - stage shutter key.
The
volume up and down
button is parallel to the lock key on the left - hand side of the phone, and also within easy
reach when holding the Galaxy S3 in the hand.
The power

reach, and they feature excellent tactile feedback.
The
button placement is intelligent for a phone of this size, with the power
button on the right side and the
volume buttons on the left, both within easy
reach about two thirds of the way up the phone.
