reached full absorbency.
It felt much more saturated the first morning so I assume
we reached full absorbency after the second wash.
It does take about 10 washes to
reach full absorbency.
So preparing new cloth diapers made of hemp can definitely take a lot of washes to
reach its full absorbency!
The Diaper Service Quality (DSQ) Cotton Prefolds come in two colors - bleached and unbleached; unbleached prefold diapers are light tan in color and require additional washing for each diaper to
reach full absorbency.
Prefolds and hemp inserts it's recommended 8 - 10 times to
reach their full absorbency potential.

reach their full absorbency, unbleached Chinese prefolds and hemp products should be washed 5 - 8 times with very hot water and approximately 2 tablespoons of detergent in each load.
It takes quite a few washings and dryings for them to
reach their full absorbency.
Prefolds will
reach their full absorbency after 6 to 8 washes in hot water, and dried on high heat.
We recommend washing in hot water and drying 3 - 5 times before the diaper
reaches its full absorbency.
Please note that this insert will require 4 - 5 wash / dry cycles to shrink up and
reach its full absorbency.
Some of these products won't
reach their full absorbency until washed approximately 7 - 10 times.
This is because cotton has natural oils that can repel moisture and need to be thoroughly stripped before it can
reach its full absorbency.
Hemp / Organic Cotton and bamboo inserts (as well as Hemp / Organic Cotton and Bamboo Overnights) need to be washed 4 - 6 times to
reach full absorbency.
Not exact matches
Please wash several times before first use to wash off the natural cotton oils before
full absorbency is
reached.
The natural cotton oils present in unbleached cotton must be washed off in those first several hot washes before
full absorbency is
reached.
