You'll need to
reach a certain rank to craft upgraded Star Cards.
By continuously playing Strike and raid missions, multiplayer missions, joining factions, and completing bounties, players get points that raise their rank in that particular area, and only when
they reach a certain rank will they be able to then purchase these items as long as they have the rare currency needed to do so.
Each card can be upgraded 4 times and you can only upgrade them once
you reach a certain rank level.
However, in order to upgrade Star Cards, you must have
reached a certain rank, which should cut down on the «pay to win» fears fans were worried about.
Pay - to - Win is countered by requiring a player to
reach certain Rank level before upgrading Star Cards for that character.

ranking in order to get the best cosmetic items, but in Halo 5, there's an opportunity to unlock an awesome piece of armor or weapon skin every time you open a pack.
As levels increase,
certain ranks are
reached, which are a prerequisite for equipping key pieces of equipment.
Following the first Promotion Test, which grants the sisters» atelier access to the
Ranking System, the others require the atelier to
reach a
certain level of reputation.
What that means to you is that without fresh content, your
rankings in the natural listings will
reach a
certain level, then not go much higher, and possibly even fall.
