When an emergency or unexpected and disruptive situation hits, your adrenaline rises, your thoughts start to race and your body and mind both go
into reaction mode.
And in that slowness, you create space: space to choose your actions (instead of living
in reaction mode), space to notice and release your triggers (instead of spiraling into self - loathing), space to observe a situation and act with intention (instead of falling into knee - jerk reaction patterns).
However, when caught in that «overwhelmed» place — where the inverse equation of increasing demands and shrinking resources forces you into
constant reaction mode — you might feel that there's no other choice but to act right now.
Never mind forgetting to write down 2012, I still feel like Halloween was a week ago - always in
delayed reaction mode.
These skills range from camouflage, slow -
motion reaction modes, sneaking, extraction of guards, killing, stunning, tranquillising, collection of materials and even the creation hundreds of weapons, base and recruitment management, the list is endless.
Then the business gets
into reaction mode — reacting to what is in front of them, and the strategies and plans become sidelined.
So if I don't do something FIRST thing in the morning to actively own my mindset, I'll end up
in reaction mode all day.
In my opinion, our industry fell into «knee -
jerk reaction mode» in response to the Competition Bureau that's investigation was as I understand it, a result of one situation in one city.
But having something where you're not just, right when you wake up looking at your phone, and looking at Facebook and Instagram, and texting people, because that instantly puts you in
that reaction mode.
