read Rosin's follow - up article (not sure I really want to...) but quoting from this academic article at this point tells me she's trying too hard to bolster her position.

The two thoughts which jumped out at me when I was
reading Ms.
Rosin's article are the fact that she does not mention «household income».
I certainly respect Ms.
Rosin's thoughtful presentation of a topic from an alternative perspective -
reading about anything uncritically from one - side is highly unlikely to result in a fair or balanced perspective on it.
I was appalled when I first
read Ms.
Rosin's article.
