read at one point, and I'm not paraphrasing here, «It is
because she is just a stupid, stupid old woman.
Though U.S. audiences likely weren't able to appreciate the movie on the same level as native Chinese speakers
because of the way that the film plays around with the language, it's still an amusing and wildly madcap spaghetti western that's anchored by a trio of fantastic performances by director / star Wen, Chow Yun - Fat and Ge You, who have such great comedic timing between them that the
subtitles often move too quickly to
read.
Even though As I Lay Dying is an English speaking film, the French speaking audience members at this screening likely better understood what was being said
because they at least had
subtitles to
read.
A lot of people let
subtitles on and actually listen AND
read at the same time without really thinking about it, just
because the text is there.
Because the entire game is strictly in Japanese with English
subtitles, you can spend a fair amount of time
reading subtitles instead of focusing on the action.
I don't play», even on super niche titles that took years to come out of Japan, they don't care, they've had other titles translated for the past 20 years and they will stick to them, some people even don't like undubed games
because they don't like
reading subtitles... (I've actually seen that too from English speakers regarding Yakuza lol)
