It should be well formulated in the sense that if the
reader opted to ignore the
background part, he or she would nicely know one specific topic of discussion, the claim
about the topic and the defending reasons why you chose the stated claims.
For our
readers who don't know
about PFD, can you give us a bit of
background on the agency?
provide many light moments; the courtroom scene is pure farce; we discover the origin of Grace's obsession with shoes; we learn more
about Fanwell's
background; Grace's musings on physical and mental comfort are worth consideration, as is the concept of the guilt - free sofa; Mma Ramotswe's inner monologue is full of gentle philosophy and it was a lovely surprise for the
reader to meet the much - quoted (and apparently very human) Clovis Anderson.

reader a real sense of time and place that makes Stormy Weather seem more like a novel written in the 1930s than a historical novel

about lives different from their own and to make connections on a universal, human level.

readers, Goodman ably makes her way through treacherous historical waters to tell a fascinating story
about Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama, whose personal prejudices come clear against a
background of his strengths as a ship's captain and voyageur.

about people (hence my suggestion leading to Jeff Id's post), especially those interested in the same subject I am (haha, since it's kind of lonely out here).
For «niche» blogs covering specialized areas of the law that aim primarily to, say, educate
readers about new court decisions on a relevant topic, I don't see why a ghostwriter with a strong legal research and writing
background can't do that effectively for a lawyer simply too busy to do all the spadework.
The draft report accompanying the proposed changes gives a brief history of legal outsourcing, tells
readers how impressed they should be by how much
background material the commission looked at before coming up with this draft, and has a throw - in line
about how sensitive the commission is to the current job market for lawyers.
Fact and
background sections of briefs plod along as if the writer could care less
about the only person who matters, the
reader.
By thinking creatively and strategically

about you and your qualifications.
Consider your introduction a 30 - second elevator speech that doesn't give your life history or entire professional
background, yet says enough
about you to stimulate the
reader's curiosity.
Does it include a statement

background that's so powerful that it transforms the
reader's initial scan into a lengthy read and then into a call to you?
