readers leave comments explicitly to support the blogger they're reading.

I'm always on the lookout for quick and easy recipes for chicken breast, so I was mighty happy when
a reader left this comment on my post for grilled Mustard Lime Chicken:

a reader left a comment recently and mentioned trying it (and liking it).
But then
a reader left this comment (somewhat hortened here):

Many
readers left comments saying that they were neither throwing out nor recycling their old gadgets, particularly old phones, instead they had thrown them into drawers or closets.
One of our loyal
readers left a comment yesterday about the ugly John F. Long kitchen cabinets: there is an ugly band of wood above the cabinets, a soffit.
You know the other day
a reader left me a comment on my Computer Cabinet Rejuvenated: The Reveal and asked where I found some of the things I was using in my cabinet.
Not exact matches
For example, if you want to connect with Darren Rowse for the first time, knowing that direct contact may not be useful at this level, you may instead
leave a significant
comment on one of his blog posts, about 200 — 300 words in length, that offers something helpful to his
readers.
Note: If you're
leaving a
comment please add an address that other
readers can tip you at.
Reader Diana took the post to heart, and she
left us with a heartfelt
comment about getting started saving for retirement in your 40s.

I think it nice that you interact with your

leave comments.
One blog
reader, Jake Yaniak,
left a
comment that he had written something similar just a week or so earlier.
Now the editors of Commonweal have answered that the
comments were, in fact, awful calumny, but that they were
left by blog
readers, not contributors, and nobody over at Commonweal agrees with them, much less hates First Things.
And many thanks to you, our
readers, for
leaving what the CT editors consider some of the most thoughtful (and least derogatory)
comments of all the CT blogs.

My guess is that the
reader who
left that
comment on the buckwheat porridge probably hadn't blended it enough.
