smartphone screens are too small or lack the clarity of dedicated e-book
readers, electronic books are selling well to
smartphone and handheld users,

say, but it's likely that we could eventually see Samsung eBook
readers and other devices such as

said the new e-bookstore will also offers mobile reading applications and will be «device neutral,» allowing
readers to download content to the most popular
smartphones, including the Apple iPhone, Research in Motion BlackBerry, Palm Pre and Google Android devices.

smartphones have the potential to become a bridge to other devices such as tablet
readers and netbooks,»

Seven percent of the respondents
said they used the Sony
Reader, and the same percentage
said they have
smartphones with an e-book capability or use «other» e-
reader devices, while 3 %
said they use Barnes & Noble's Nook.
However, Hilt
said e-
readers still account for the bulk of e-book purchases, so there's a core of dedicated
readers who like to read on E Ink screens, even though many if not all of them own
smartphones too.
The Korea Herald released a report
saying that Samsung is trying to choose the exact fingerprint
reader tech it wants to use in its upcoming update to the Galaxy Note
smartphone line.
