I have just put the word spirit with a lower - case «s»; but I might quite as
readily have put it with an upper - case «S.» For the living reality of the Christian Church in which the Spirit of God — or the divine responsive
movement to what was expressed in the event of Jesus Christ — is present and active is
seen by the Christian ages to be not an accidental or merely historically - conditioned development.
The contributions of Christianity to some of the
