I purely do Parkour and some weightlifting to supplicate it, which means I never do
any real aerobic work besides my everyday cycling.

However, the
real big advantage bodyweight cardio exercises have is they allow you to
work far more muscle groups and if you do your chosen exercises in sets of 10 repetitions and move straight on to the next exercise this type of training becomes both
aerobic and anaerobic at the same time.
I just have a nagging sense that form
work has acquired enormous importance that is out of proportion to its value, when the
real barrier for most beginning runners is still
aerobic fitness.
