car, engine blowouts following a mechanical failure or too much mileage on the same engine and more besides.
The light class which is
really good at hugging the road and handling rough terrain (think a dune buggy), the medium class which would be similar to a stereotypical race
car which grips the road well, and has a decent amount of speed and acceleration, and finally the
heavy class which it lacks in suspension and acceleration but makes up for it in speed and grip.
Your
heavier car is already beating the rule of thumb by quite a significant margin, which is
really testament to the great engineering.
The bike is definitely
heavier with the Copenhagen Wheel installed, but I only
really noticed it if I was pedaling with the motor off or when I picked it up to put it on the bike carrier on the back of my
car, and even so, the bike was far lighter than most purpose - built e-bikes.
