My biggest issue being I don't like
really sweet cake, or sweet frosting.
It is not very sweet though, so I would recommend adding more sugar if you like
really sweet cakes.

really craving something deliciously
sweet and filling so I dreamt up this awesome apple, pear and raisin
cake last night and wow did it taste good!

To me the date icing
really made these vegan carrot
cake bars — it gave the perfect amount of sweetness to the not super
sweet bars, and I just love the combination of textures — the firm but tender bars with the silky smooth date icing was perfection.
I'm
really happy you tried that one though Vanilla doesn't hide the
sweet potato flavor nearly as well as chocolate so it is quite noticeable in that one, but much less detachable in the chocolate mousse
cake.

cake with coffee glaze.
Savory snacks aside, it's the desserts that
really take center stage — like the purple
sweet potato Chinese tea
cake (see the recipe).
We are not vegans, but I
really enjoy finding delicious AND healthy recipes, more so for
cakes and
sweets stuff.
The grapefruit juice and yogurt combined
really gives the
cake a
sweet, yet tart flavor.
I made mine with vanilla buttercream which is already
really sweet, so I omit the sugar in the actual batter, meaning my
cake layers are pretty much sugar - free!

The
cake came out
really well but also too
sweet for my taste.
I know there is a lot of versions of carrot pudding
cakes out there, the reason I like this one is that is it not too
sweet and goes
really well as a side dish vs. dessert.

really like serving

cake cases because the portions are smaller and young children tend to eat less sugar this way!
