You may have already seen the
Kitchen Tour - A Black and White Blank Canvas post that I shared last month and will notice how just a bit of the muted color that I added on the island and table
really warmed up the space.
They give off the softest,
warmest glow that
really makes the
kitchen cozy.
As I go through Pinterest I am drawn to rooms with blues and browns and greens... and those are the colours I have in my own home... orange is always lovely and
warm and might be a good addition to my current colour scheme... I have just painted all the trim on my first floor white to lighten things up, but the hubs is painting the
kitchen «smoked turquoise» as I type this... a dark sultry colour that
really is

kitchens without adding clutter.
When I went back into the
kitchen, the yellow
really warmed up the cool tones.
I stumbled upon your blog thanks to «Like A
Warm Cup of Coffee», and oh my, I'm
really trying hard not to have
kitchen envy.
I had a rug from IKEA under my
kitchen table and it finally got to the point where it is just too trashed to use anymore and I
really miss a rug there to
warm up the
kitchen.
A lot of people right now are doing all white
kitchens with white details on everything except for the appliances and hardware, so I'm interested to see what the feedback will be on this space with the white balancing out with
warmer, softer details, but at the end of the day and at the end of the design what matters most is the homeowner and it is safe to say that they are
really pleased with not only the visual of the space, but also with the new functionality they have here!
