We subsequently made a point this weekend to celebrate the collective joy of giving and receiving by trimming a Christmas tree with Laurel, purchasing gifts for our school's holiday drive (it was
really marvelous to involve Laurel in the shopping process), and depositing several bags of
warm clothing and
shoes to a donation station.
I guess those
shoes are pretty perfect for someone who lives in
warmer climates, and they are
really so gorgeous!
The outfit I'm sporting is a great example of how I personally am embracing the slightly
warmer weather, I'm a huge fan of the cropped leg trouser (despite the fact it's not necessarily the most flattering on me), and I always rely on a summer
shoe to
really step change my outfits.
The funny thing about living in LA is that you can't
really differentiate seasons because it is always sunny +
warm all the time... with that said it makes it the perfect time to style some of your summer favorites well into fall with the right
shoes + accessories.

I was able to wear the
shoes while in Florida but I need it to
warm up a bit here in Chicago before I can
really break them in!

really refuse to wait for one more degree increase in temperature to get into your
warm - weather clothes, do as Molly does and top a romantic floral maxi with a fitted leather moto and keep your
shoes dark too.
I only have a
warm pair of boots (uggs), so I
really need to step up my fall / winter
shoe game!
