While war stories often do the same in
the realm of action film - making, spy stories show another, more shadowy angle of the chaotic upkeep of the «war on terror».

action, pushing the
film out
of the
realm of simple Bond spoofing.

film's success will ultimately depend on whether Taylor Kitsch can prove to be the
action star that Hollywood is betting on him to become.
Between his recent foray into the
realm of action in (the underrated) Nerve and his upcoming performance as Greg Sestero in his brother's upcoming Tommy Wiseau - focused
film, The Disaster Artist, he may simply have a hard time turning off his knack for high drama and going back to comedy.
But in the
realm of multiplex movies, dominated as they are now by franchises, sequels and lowest common denominator
action flicks (aka «macho treats»), the Pitch Perfect
films are special.
Terrific as it is, however, it enters the
realm of near - genius with the subtle and marvelous ways in which the
film stock interacts with the
action onscreen.

of life to the
action, even when it steers well into the

of the
film is often subsumed by its deadpan humor.

Even as yet another superhero origin story, there are some truly next - level visual effects and
action sequences in director Scott Derrickson's
film, and opening the Marvel cinematic universe up to all the possibilities that come from the
realms of the mystical is an exciting prospect.
