The LG G Pad on the other hand carries on the design ethos of the LG G2 and more recently launched LG G3 smartphone, bringing a very thin bezel and
rear volume rocker buttons to offer you lots of display in a small body.
From this energy -
charged rear volume and the two side air intakes spring the two long muscles which lend speed and dynamism to the side, generating the necessary volume at the front end to house the headlights and, on the central part, the two robust ribs running along the bonnet, tracing the unmistakable «V» and coming to their natural conclusion around the shield.
It has about the same floor space as the Matrix with the seats folded down but has much less headroom so the
overall rear volume is about 2/3 of the Matrix.
The G5 does away with the
iconic rear volume rockers, moving them to the left side instead.
The
divisive rear volume / power button combination has returned, but both are more effectively delineated and therefore easier to distinguish while in the pocket.
We've also been expecting a device which departs from LG's tradition of
using rear volume and power buttons, in favor of the more traditional side edge - mounted setup.
The effect is dramatic, as it reinforces the importance of
the rear volume while, at the same time, maintaining the air flow to the intercoolers at the base of the side window.
The rear volume, sinuous and enveloping, simultaneously encloses and embraces the beating heart of the car: the mechanics and the engine, visible through the rear window.
The left side of the phone has a clicky volume rocker, which is a big change from
the rear volume controls on the LG G4 and the LG V10.
The rear volume keys and power buttons can be easily reached by your fingers, although some may prefer the buttons on the traditional spots on the edges.
Much like the LG G3, the Zenfone 2 has
rear volume rocker.
The 5.5 - inch ZenFone 2 also sports
a rear volume rocker below its camera, which is strikingly similar to the setup in LG's flagships.
The A3600 settings are accessible with the infrared remote control which has all the controls required for this kind of system: mute; stand - by; front and
rear volume; high and low frequencies; plus several predefined equalizing functions for Rock, Classic and Pop.
Gone are
the rear volume buttons.
