In today's blog post to developers, Microsoft stated «if you want to be one of the first ones to
receive early previews of our tools please sign up today.»
So far, the Android Beta website hasn't gone live — but in the near future, it should allow users with eligible devices to sign up for the program and
receive early preview builds automatically.

preview, the company slipped this in: «We've decided to continue the
preview program into
early 2017, at which point the first watches will
receive Android Wear 2.0.»

previews, as Microsoft has now confirmed to Neowin that they won't see any
previews at all, stating: «Consoles in Dev Mode
receive new or updated features when they launch to general availability.»
There's still no official launch date for the service (the best we've gotten is «in the near future»), but today Samsung opened up registration for US Galaxy S8 and S8 + owners to
receive early access to
preview builds of Bixby's voice command interface.
HTC One X has
received its own port of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and this is currently only an
early preview, which means that it packs some errors.
Likewise, the Android Wear team has also not provided any specific on why they are extending the
preview other than stating that they have
received «tons of great feedback from the developer community about Android Wear 2.0» and have «decided to continue» the program until
early next year.
Still, the company's pledge confirms that the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL will
receive Android P next year, Android Q in 2019, and Android R in 2020, at least provided that Google sticks to its established OS release pattern and continues debuting first developer
previews of major updates in spring before rolling out stable OS builds in late summer or
early fall.
