Naturally, this was great news for owners of its latest and greatest phones, but Motorola then managed to usher out the update to most
recent Moto G devices, the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus, in India before the end of 2016.
We were big fans of the most
recent Moto G, particularly its 9 - hour battery life.

Considering
recent phone launches like Xiaomi Mi 3,
Moto G and Asus ZenFone 5, that seems like an extremely steep price for the specs.
The definition of a «cheap» Android phone has been steadily rewritten in
recent years, perhaps starting with the game - changing
Moto G.
Recent controversial cases include Motorola not delivering the expected Android Nougat update for the
Moto G 2015, and attempting to axe the promised Android Oreo update from the
Moto G4 Plus.
As I expected, the 2014
Moto G performs identically to the 2013
Moto G. However, as you'll notice by comparing the benchmarks I've run in this review to some of my other
recent reviews, not all the benchmarks I usually run are here.
Out of the big manufacturer
recent releases, the only flagship device still stuck on a 720p display is the
Moto G, which costs about a third of the price of the Xperia Z5 Compact.
Similar to
recent Nokia phones, the
Moto G too comes with trashy earphones.
Moto G2 The
Moto G has been Motorola's most successful phone in the
recent times.
The lack of expandable memory will be a real bug bear for those who don't want to pay extra for the
Moto G 4
G, especially if you end up with the 8 GB model and it's missing the more
recent tech advances in the form of NFC.
The pull down notification bar at the top of the
Moto G's display offers up a feast of information from
recent calls, new emails and text messages to Google Now prompts, app updates and third party notifications.
Considering the
recent price cut of the second generation
Moto G, Motorola may keep the smartphone pricing in 12 - 15k and will follow the same flash sale model on Flipkart.
For how long though, who knows and especially if they remain more expensive than the
recent drops that have been seen with the likes of the
Moto 360 and LG
G Watch R.
With the
recent release of the 2015
Moto G (3rd generation), it looks like Motorola will continue offering decent affordable phones.
Recent rumors claimed that the upcoming
Moto G 5th generation phone will use the same 625 processor that's reliable, powerful enough for everyday tasks and is affordable.
The
recent update on the
Moto G (2nd Gen) has additionally brought Google Now Launcher which allows users to get all their Google Now cards right by swiping right to primary homescreen.
