experience, you must demonstrate knowledge of
applicable,
recent child development theory.
Only include relatively
recent,
applicable experience that shows what transferrable skills you have learned and can carry over to your future role.
HR staff will also look for you to have
recent experience in the relevant industry and at the
applicable level — for example, if they have advertised for an
experienced executive and your title is «manager», with no previous
experience at an executive level, your resume is not likely to make the cut.
Review the most
recent experience — are there
applicable skills that standout?
Your resume should include an effective Summary Section that briefly highlights your
recent work
experience (including industries you've worked in),
applicable certifications, achievements and skills that best match the position for which you are applying.
That's why you always list your work
experience in REVERSE chronological order — because your most important and
applicable jobs are likely to be the most
recent.
If your most
recent experience is not
applicable to the position for which you're applying, include related
experience on page one and other
experience on page two.
