I suggest using a little less brown

cooking them for slightly longer.
Or is that measurement the amount of
cooked rice that goes
in to the

I have just
cooked the blueberry muffins as you say they are like a liquid batter but they haven't turned into muffins they are just blueberry slop
in bottom of muffin tins.I don't see how these can turn into muffins when they are just pure liquid and there is nothing
in the
recipe to bind them together. The only different ingredient I used was
rice milk as didn't have almond milk and actually put less maple syrup
in as didn't have full amount so the
recipe should have been even runnier.Am feeling a bit frustrated as the ingredients aren't cheap.
Now that I reread the
recipe the cilantro, coconut, and scallions should go
in after the
rice is
cooked, this makes sense.

The first thing I will say is that this
recipe does not fit
in with my usual
cooking style & the food that I usually share on this blog for two reasons, it has loads of sugar
in it & it is made of
rice.
The sweet potato gnocchi
recipe itself is pretty straightforward —
cook sweet potatoes,
rice them, add flour, stir
in an egg and work the dough until it's no longer sticky.

Elsa is so funny:D By the way, this tuna - tomato

in «riso al tonno» —
rice + tomato sauce + canned tuna.

OK, here are some favorites we've been
cooking up at my place: - vegetable curry (grind my own whole spices, use whatever veggies we get
in our weekly CSA share; radishes / beets, eggplant, squash, greens, etc)- quick kale (sauteed with coconut oil, chili flakes, garlic, [lemon grass], soy sauce, lemon juice)- pac choi w / sauteed mushrooms «chinese» style (with fish sauce,
rice wine vinegar, jalepeno / chili, soy sauce, etc)- roasted radishes w / poached eggs - «teamwork pasta» — this is your
recipe for pepper and cheese pasta, but it helps having two sets of hands to make it
in our house... we put an egg on this too of course - tuna pasta (chopped onion, garlic, lemon zest, chili flakes, tuna, olives — easily adaptable to what you already have
in the house and like)- roast chicken on friday - roasted sweet potatoes - omlets - challa french toast

This is great, I've been trying to eat healthy and fell
in love with quinoa, but as you said it's not easy to get it
cooked the same as delis and resturants, I gave up and bought a
rice cooker with the intent for settling on brown

cooks my
rice perfect everytime.I'm running out to whole foods now excited that I can get 4 varieties or more of organic quinoa.

Wow, we are seriously on the same page this week — I made
rice stuffed tomatoes on a bed of potatoes on Saturday afternoon, following a years - old
recipe I found over on Rachel Eats, and they were fine, but not great like I wanted them to be — the
rice goes soaks
in the tomato sauce first, but doesn't actually get
cooked, so some of it was a little too chewy for me.

Dear Cate, I'm Clio and I'm from Greece.I really like your blog, very good work.I found the Greece section -LRB-!!!!) and I wanted to give you some info about the avgolemono soup
recipe.Here,
in Greece, we don't
cook this soup plain with just
rice, well, I certainly haven't heard it before. We have chicken avgolemono soup which is very popular, and there is a hole range of avgolemono
recipes, soups and casserole dishes.Avgolemono is a sauce, which is done at the end and finishes the
recipe with eggs (avgo
in greek) and lemons. For example, we have «lamp with lettuce avgolemono, meatballs avgolemono soup, zuccnini stuffed with mince avgolemono, an easter soup with liver chopped and fresh onions, very traditional, we also have dolmades, this is turkish dish, it is like little parcels made by cabbage leaves that you steam a little and then are filled with mince,
rice and herbs, and avgolemono. And many others.
It can be used
in any
recipe that calls for
cooked chicken, such as chicken chili, cold Chinese noodles with chicken and peanut sauce, or chicken curried fried
rice.
While quinoa softens when
cooked, and its fluffy texture makes it ideal for replacing
rice in many
recipes, kaniwa doesn't puff up after
cooking, but retains its size and texture.
