I followed this
recipe pretty closely (only had 1 red bell pepper so I added cherry tomatoes and celery to make up the rest
of the 2 cups; didn't have
jalapeno so I used a little chipotle in adobo sauce - which I thought was great).
For the Mexico - inspired portion
of this
recipe we're using tomate verde (tomatillos), avocado, lime juice, pepitas (roasted and salted pumpkin seeds), and a little bit
of fresh
jalapeno chili pepper.

Bacon Wrapped
Jalapenos Recipe One
of the best grilled appetizers is bacon wrapped
jalapeno peppers.
I'm not usually one to go and put corn in guacamole, but the combination
of the grilled sweet corn,
jalapeno, cilantro and cotija cheese really makes this
recipe a winner.
This
recipe is so easy to make and it only consist
of 3 ingredients; fresh
jalapenos peppers, cream cheese, and bacon.
If you don't want to buy a can
of chipotles in adobo sauce for just the one or two called for in this
recipe, substitute fresh or even pickled
jalapenos.
And,
of course, the Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes, served with
Jalapeno Crema topped with a pinch
of Micro-Greens (
recipe follows below).
These Spicy Deviled Eggs are very similar to her
recipe, only they have the addition
of jalapeno peppers to give a little spicy kick!
Other superstar turkey chili
recipe ingredients include quinoa to create the perfect texture plus more protein and omega - 3 fatty acids, spicy
jalapeno to give your metabolism a kick, and a variety
of warming and flavorful spices, such as cinnamon and cayenne.
But, I especially love how you did this
recipe...
jalapenos are my most favorite part
of the food group.
I slightly changed the
recipe, I added a half
of a
jalapeno to the shallots (Very important: Taste the heat
of your peppers before you add them to your dish), then added 1/3 C white wine to the shallots and peppers.
I guess a lot
of you don't realize that except for the squash and tomatoes, this
recipe is pretty close to the Original San Antonio chili which many feel is the first and original chili in Texas, If you want it spicier add a dried serrano or a couple
jalapeno (or chipolte) chilies.
