During my
month of non-blogging (which feels suspiciously like it's morphing into two
months of non-blogging, except that I'm typing this right now) I did re-photograph some old
recipes, but then as I was placing the
new photos into the old blog posts I found that it's honestly easier to write a whole
new post because I used to write my
recipes into the post rather than a focused
recipe.
One question I get asked a lot is how to come up with different
recipes and have more variety with meals, so I'm going to be talking about that more this
month (great for those
of you who tend to make
New Year's resolutions around cooking more and eating healthier food!).
For this year's edition
of NaBloPoMo, I've pledged to post a
new recipe every single day for the
month of November.
Last
month, I excitedly tweeted about a fantastic
new banana loaf
recipe I had just pulled out
of the oven.
First Monday
of a
new month means a
new recipe for SRC.
With a salad and a crusty piece
of bread, it is substantial enough to be a meal, and I can not wait to eat it again tomorrow, which is actually somewhat inconvenient, considering the whole
new recipe every day thang this
month.
We've literally eaten nothing but one pot meals for the past four
months, with hardly any barbecue making an appearance on our table this year, so I'm excited to finally have some time to cook some
new food after spending most
of this year testing
new recipes for you to try in a year and a half (ha!).
We've been eating really well the past few
months, as the five
of us - and our Sunday supper crew - eat our way through the many
recipes I've been testing for my
new book.
Love the idea
of creating a
new recipe every
month, where does the inspiration come from?
I only started my
new blog a
month ago and already a lot
of my
recipes are spinach based!
Over the course
of these many
months, in addition to enjoying many satisfying
recipes from this book, I was able to cook virtually with some
of my old friends from French Fridays and to make
new friends that I met through the Cottage Cooking Club.
If this is
new to you, once a
month one blogger chooses a list
of ingredients, and a group
of us creates a
recipe using a certain number
of ingredients from the list.
One
of my goals this
month is to try
new recipes & to cook more.
This
month the theme was Persian
New Year, though I made this
recipe up with their Mast -0-Khiar spice blend, I tried the one for braised lamb shanks with advieh, a spice blend
of green cardamom, angelica and a few others.
These decadent Maple Syrup drenched Blondies are just one
of so many
recipes that I've tried in the past few
months from her
newest book «Vegan with a Vengeance» from Da Capo Lifelong Books Born and raised in Brooklyn, Isa Chandra Moskowitz began her vegan cooking journey over two decades ago.
My wife and I embraced the Paleo way
of eating
months ago but continue to search
new and exciting Paleo
Recipes.
I like the idea
of 12 days
of cookies, on my blog I put

month so I hope to find lots
of inspiration.

You may have noticed that my blogposts and
new recipes have been a bit infrequent over the past couple
of weeks /
months.
That means that the absolute
newest recipes, the ones that were posted in the last few
months, have very little chance
of ever making it on this list since they simply haven't had as many days out there to build up pageviews.
Once a week during the
month of October I'll be sharing some fab millet
recipes for those
of you interested in trying a
new wholegrain on for size.
I am going to have to come up with some
new soup
recipes because I can see a lot
of chili and soup what i am eating link ups over the next few
months!
A quick taste told me everything was on track, and in a few
months I'll use her hard work in a few
recipes and perhaps give her a
new job with a whole
new bottle
of red wine.
This
recipe was inspired by The Pioneer Women's
new queso dip she shared on one
of her episodes a few
months back.
