We settled on meatloaf, thinking that you could make it look sort of like a camel's hump... you know... if he was wearing a girdle of camel's hair, he had to have done something with the rest of the camel... I modified the linked
recipe by adding Worcestershire sauce, garlic and onion, and I thought it turned out a
bit dry, but it wasn't bad, especially with a topping of vidalia onions browned in olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and a little more honey.
They kept the original
recipe but expanded on it a
bit by adding a splash of «vino de Tequila.»

It's adapted from the cover
recipe of the Nordstrom Family Table Cookbook and while I am sure the original version is heavenly, I decided to lighten it up a
bit by substituting whole milk for a portion of the heavy cream and slightly reduced the amount of gruyere.
I'm making things a little easy for you
by rounding up 50 tasty gluten - free appetizers from my
recipe archives as well as scrumptious
bites from a wide range of amazing food bloggers.
While I have a few different
recipes on the blog, chocolate hazelnut
bites are probably my favourite, followed closely
by these baked pineapple coconut
bites.
I've used my Flourless Brownie
recipe, tweaked a
bit, and swirled it with my favorite chocolate spread (you'll be shocked
by which one it is).
I altered it a
bit by doubling the
recipe to make a bigger cake and changed the frosting into a glaze (butter, powdered sugar, strawberry jam and hot water).

By itself tempeh has a strong nutty taste that can seem a
bit dry, but it happens to be excellent at absorbing other flavors making it perfect in an Asian stir fry
recipe.
I was a

I altered the

by caramel: I added enough water just to dissolve the sugar (about 1 / 4c) and added 1 Tbsp light corn syrup (helps prevent the dreaded «crystallization»).
