In a report of their findings, published in the December issue of the American Journal of Public Health, the researchers say the program was designed
to prevent suffering at a time when adolescent depression rates are on the rise and many believe awareness, early
recognition and effective therapies can
lead to better outcomes.
Without
recognition and support for principals as the catalysts for continuous school improvement, it is virtually impossible
to improve school conditions that
lead to better instruction in the classroom and student learning
outcomes.
