If they are under 2 years old, I would
recommend taking them to the potty every thirty minutes or so to remind them, then sit them on it and see if they go.

take their new puppy out every 2 - 3 hours because they work, I do
recommend they use a contained area with access
to a litter box or
potty area until they're old enough
to hold it for the full 8 hours in a crate.
