If you do apply for a card from Barclaycard and find your applications pending or denied, you can try calling the bank's
reconsideration line at (888) 232-0780 for General Card Services and Application Line (dial option 3 for application status), or by using their Online Application Status Check.
It sounds like you haven't hit that limit, so my suggestion would be to call the Amex
reconsideration line at 800-567-1083
At this point, you may want to go ahead and call into Chase
reconsideration line at: 1-888-270-2127.
If you get declined be sure to call American Express's
reconsideration line at 866-314-0237.
