reduce backover crashes involving children and pedestrians (see «Rearview camera rule aims to
reduce backover crashes,» May 29, 2014).
Automatic rear braking systems might be as effective or more effective at
reducing the risk of
backover crashes than cameras or sensors, which require the driver to react appropriately.
