Jumping on them removes their wings and turn them into
regular Koopa Troopas, just like in their home series.
They also appear larger than
regular Koopa Troopas, despite being skeletal versions of them.
In Super Mario World, they have been given shoes to designate their current bipedal appearance, just as
regular Koopa Troopas have gotten.
In Giant Land, Colossal Koopa Paratroopas replace
regular Koopa Paratroopas, but they do not act any differently than
regular Koopa Paratroopas.
Most artwork of Paratroopas have colored their shells red to further distinguish from
regular Koopa Troopa, though multiple artwork of green - shelled Paratroopas exist.
As in other games, stomping on them causes their wings to fall off and turns them into
regular Koopa Troopas.
Yellow - shelled Paratroopas act like
regular Koopas, but they chase after Mario and jump over any shells that are in their way.

The items like Fire Flowers,
Koopa Shells should still be usable in this situation whenever one finds
regular attacks like jumps or hammers ineffective.
Just like
Koopa Paratroopas, they jump up and down and shed their wings and change into their
regular form upon being stomped on the head.
The most
regular enemies that Mario encounters in Grass Land are: Goombas,
Koopa Troopas and Piranha Plants.
